Dosage standard - 1:20 ratio
Vitaclean concentrate for robot mops is a concentrate - not a ready-to-use liquid. Dosage controls mopping effectiveness and drying time. The standard ratio is 1:20: 15 ml of concentrate per 300 ml of water.
15 ml = 1 tablespoon = ~15 g (concentrate density is similar to water).
To make it easier, the Vitaclean concentrate bottle has a dispenser in the cap - you can measure exactly 15 ml without using a spoon.

Dosage modifiers per scenario
Daily mopping (1:20 standard)
15 ml + 300 ml of water. Suitable for:
- Dust trails and light dirt
- Daily routine after work in a home with children
- Mixed surfaces (laminate + tiles in one apartment)
- All floor types in the pH 4-11 range
Greasy kitchen tiles (1:7.5 once a week)
40 ml + 300 ml of water. Use:
- Once a week in the kitchen
- After a long break (returning from vacation, kitchen heavily neglected)
- On grout with soap scum and grease
After a strong cycle, return to the 1:20 standard. More on washing tiles: how to wash ceramic tiles with a robot without streaks.
Varnished parquet (1:30 weaker)
10 ml + 300 ml of water. Wood requires minimal chemicals. Plus: wring out pads very well (wood doesn't like excess moisture). Frequency: 2-3× a week, NOT daily. For LVT vinyl floors, the 1:20 standard applies: how to care for LVT vinyl flooring without dulling.
Marble and limestone (1:30, with caution)
10 ml + 300 ml of water. Marble is sensitive. Specialized cleaners are better, but Vitaclean 1:30 concentrate is safe for occasional marble mopping.
Heavily soiled (1:5 incidentally)
60 ml + 300 ml of water. Use:
- Returning from vacation (3+ weeks without mopping)
- After renovations (dust everywhere)
- Very neglected surface
After one 1:5 cycle, run a rinsing cycle with plain water + return to 1:20. If streaks appear after a cycle - check 8 causes of streaks on laminate floors after a robot.
Measuring without a dispenser - tips
If the Vitaclean concentrate bottle doesn't have a dispenser or you lost it:
| Method | Quantity | For tank |
|---|---|---|
| Full tablespoon | ~15 ml | 300 ml |
| 2 teaspoons (5 ml each) | ~10 ml | 200 ml |
| Vitaclean concentrate bottle cap (typically 25 ml) | ~25 ml | 480 ml |
| 20 ml medical syringe | exactly 15-20 ml | precision |
Auto-refill stations - Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, Ecovacs X1 Omni
Auto-refill stations have a 2-4 L fresh water tank + a separate wastewater tank. The robot draws water itself and doses it under the mop pad. Procedure for adding Vitaclean concentrate:
- Pull out the fresh water tank from the station
- Add Vitaclean concentrate: 50 ml per 1 L of water (1:20 ratio)
- Top up with clean water to the maximum mark
- Reinsert the tank
- The robot doses itself - the ratio remains constant (1:20)
Lasts for 4-5 mopping cycles before needing a refill.
DO NOT pour undiluted Vitaclean concentrate into the station - it will damage the dosing pump.
Robot apps - dosing settings
In the robot app, you can set the mopping intensity (how much water the robot pumps under the pad):
| App | Setting | Work type | For Vitaclean concentrate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mi Home (Xiaomi, Roborock) | Low | Light soiling | 1:25 (12 ml + 300 ml) |
| Mi Home | Medium | Daily care | 1:20 (15 ml + 300 ml) |
| Mi Home | High | Greasy stains | 1:15 (20 ml + 300 ml) |
| iRobot HOME | Light | Light | 1:25 |
| iRobot HOME | Standard | Daily | 1:20 |
| iRobot HOME | Heavy | Grease, stains | 1:15 |
| Ecovacs Home | Slim | Little water | 1:20 (less water, more Vitaclean concentrate) |
| Ecovacs Home | Standard | Daily | 1:20 |
| Ecovacs Home | Wet | Lots of water | 1:25 (more water, less Vitaclean concentrate) |
Rule of thumb: the more water the robot doses, the weaker the Vitaclean concentrate ratio (more water = the same Vitaclean concentrate is diluted more).
Efficiency from 1 bottle of Vitaclean concentrate
Standard usage of 15 ml per cycle, 1 L bottle = ~67 mopping cycles (1000 ml ÷ 15 ml = 66.7).
Statistics:
- Daily 5×/week: bottle lasts for ~3 months
- Daily 3×/week: ~5 months
- 2×/week: ~8 months
- With auto-refill station: ~2 months (because there are more cycles)
Annual cost of mopping with a robot using Vitaclean concentrate:
- Daily use 5×/week: 4 bottles per year (under 165 PLN)
- Less intensive 3×/week: 2-3 bottles per year (under 125 PLN)

FAQ
How many ml of liquid for a mopping robot? +
Standard: 15 ml of Vitaclean concentrate (1 tablespoon) per 300 ml of water = 1:20 ratio. For a 200 ml tank: 10 ml + 200 ml of water. For 450 ml: 20 ml + 450 ml of water. For 750 ml: 30 ml + 750 ml of water (a slightly weaker 1:25 ratio for larger tanks). DO NOT overdo it - 30 ml per 300 ml of water leaves streaks and stickiness.
What is the concentrate ratio for a Xiaomi robot? +
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Mop has a 200-300 ml tank depending on the model. Standard: 10-15 ml of Vitaclean concentrate + the appropriate amount of water (1:20). The Mi Home app for Xiaomi allows you to set water dosing (low/medium/high) - set it to "medium" when using a 1:20 Vitaclean concentrate mix. In "high" mode (more water), increase the Vitaclean concentrate dose slightly to 1:18 (~17 ml per 300 ml).
How much Vitaclean concentrate for the Roborock S7? +
The Roborock S7 has a 480 ml water tank (300 ml for vacuuming, 180 ml for mop). For a full tank: 25 ml of Vitaclean concentrate + 480 ml of water. The Mi Home app (Roborock) has a 30-level mop dosing adjustment — for a 1:20 Vitaclean concentrate mix, set it to 50% (middle of the scale). For intensive mopping (kitchen with grease), set it to 70% and increase the Vitaclean concentrate dose to 35 ml.
Can I add Vitaclean concentrate while mopping? +
It is better not to. Robots are designed for a cycle with a planned amount of solution. Adding it during operation disrupts the automatic dosing (the robot "thinks" the liquid is stronger than it actually is). Plan: schedule cycles based on the tank capacity. The Roborock S7 robot with a 480 ml tank mops ~30-40 m² on one fill. For a larger apartment, replace the tank between cycles instead of refilling it.
Auto-refill station (Roborock S8 Pro Ultra) - how to dose Vitaclean concentrate? +
The station has 2 tanks: clean water and wastewater. Pour the Vitaclean concentrate and water together into the clean water tank in a 1:20 ratio (e.g., 50 ml of Vitaclean concentrate + 1 L of water = 1050 ml of solution). The robot doses it by itself during each cycle. The auto-refill ecosystem is designed for regular mopping - just refill once a week, and the robot works with the ready-made solution. DO NOT pour undiluted Vitaclean concentrate into the station.
Does a smaller dose of Vitaclean concentrate clean better? +
No. A smaller dose (e.g., 10 ml per 300 ml = 1:30) works slower and may leave uncleaned spots. A larger one (40 ml per 300 ml = 1:7.5) leaves streaks and stickiness. The optimal 1:20 ratio is the middle ground - it has enough power for everyday dirt without being excessive. For exceptionally dirty surfaces (once a week), use 1:7.5, but go back to 1:20 for daily maintenance.
